SUMMARY

Ilona Ežerinytė is author of the best book of the year awarded by the Lithuanian section of IBBY on the 2 of April, 2017. The author’s award acceptance speech opens the present issue of “Rubinaitis”. The 90th anniversary of the Lithuanian children’s writer Vladas Dautartas (1927–2000) is commemorated with short essay by his daughter Marija Virketienė and the article by Kęstutis Urba about the author’s two animal tales presenting life of fishes. Neringa Mikalauskienė discusses some translated books for children and YA, published during the last year, and Jolita Liškevičienė analyses the best illustrations of the Lithuanian artists in the SURVIES section. READINGS OF MY CHILDHOOD presents very experienced and famous children’s librarian Aldona Šiaulienė, who was interviewed by Džiuljeta Maskuliūnienė. The caption LET’S READ TOGETHER, MOTHER, FATHER! is yielded to short story by Gintarė Adomaitytė. BIBLIOGRAPHY of publications about children’s literature as well as CHRONICLES are compiled by Roma Kišūnaitė.
