SUMMARY

Kęstutis Urba in the INTRODUCTORY suggests to accept popularity of Kakė Makė, the character of books for children, created by Lina Žutautė. It becomes object of different sorts of industry. ARTICLES is the biggest section in the present issue of „Rubinaitis“. Prof. Gražina Skabeikytė-Kazlauskienėcarefully analyses and qualifies new works (prose and poetry) for children by Sigitas Poškus. Neringa Mikalauskienė discusses science fiction books for YA written by the Lithuanian authors. Mainly they were written during the 20th century. Dr. Loreta Žvironaitė explores diary books for children and teenagers translated into Lithuanian and tries to explain popularity of this kind of books. READINGS OF MY CHILDHOOD traditionally is filled with the interview, the famous translator of children’s literature Virgilijus Čepliejus answers to Diana Bučiūtė’s questions. The prominent children’s author Vytautė Žilinskaitėshares her opinion about importance of toys in the section LET’S READ TOGETHER, MOTHER, FATHER. Roma Kišūnaitė prepared list of jubilees of children’s authors and books to be celebrated in 2018.
