SUMMARY
ICBD message by Eliacer Cansino opens the present issue of RUBINAITIS. Traditionally the first issue of a year presents new books for children written by Lithuanian authors and published in previous year. Kęstutis Urba observes so called realistic prose for children and YA of 2009. He states, unexpectedly there were many books of nonfiction and comparatively good works of popular literature. Among the books with the highest literary quality he mentions books by Kazys Saja, Ona Jautakė, Gendrutis Morkūnas. Asta Gustaitienė presents literary tales. There were even more books in this genre category, but not so many prized among them. The observer pays greater attention to books by Kęstutis Kasparavičius, Paulius Juodišius, Renata Šerelytė, Vytautas V. Landsbergis etc. Loreta Žvironaitė remembers how poor books of poetry were during the last year and questions, may be we may already „just be glad“, since some poetry works of 2009 were much more valuable.
Roma Kišūnaitė enters all new books, including translations, in BIBLIOGRAPHY section and one may calculate 466 titles in it.
