SUMMARY

Traditionally, the first issue of “Rubinaitis” of each year pays attention to books, published in latter year. Thus Neringa Mikalauskienė discusses so called realistic prose, Asta Gustaitienė analyses literary fairy tales and fantasies, and Gražina Skabeikytė-Kazlauskienė qualifies poetry for children of 2014 in SURVEYS section. Obviously, fantasy and fairy tales prevailed over other genres in the Lithuanian publishing trade in 2014. BIBLIOGRAPHY, compiled by Roma Kišūnaitė, includes about 600 titles.

The most popular caption of the magazine READINGS OF MY CHILDHOOD contains interview with children’s literature teacher Ramutė Zinytė. The section ANNIVERSARIES is dedicated to two jubilees: Antanas Šimkus writes about Alma Karosaitė’s (1945–2014) poetry, while Loreta Žvironaitė presents works for children by Petronėlė Orintaitė (1905–1999).
