SUMMARY
The first publication of the present issue of RUBINAITIS is ICBD message written by Aino Pervik. And in the focus of the attention are new books written by the Lithuanian authors in 2010. Asta Gustaitienė discusses literary fairy tales and fantasy books, Džiuljeta Maskuliūnienė carefully analyses 4 realistic novels, and Neringa Mikalauskienė tries to find at least some good poems for children. Professor Gražina Skabeikytė-Kazlauskienė dedicates her article to the 130th anniversary of Eleanor Farjeon. She tells shortly about the author’s life and comments her tales. The Lithuanian author in exile (now lives in Australia) Nijolė Jankutė is interviewed by Kęstutis Urba (the caption READINGS OF MY CHILDHOOD). Two persons – literary critic Jurgita Sajevičienė and schoolgirl Vaiva Būgaitė – pay attention to the just translated into Lithuanian book „Thirteen reasons why“ by Jay Asher.
At last, BIBLIOGRAPHY of books published in 2010 and CHRONICLE, traditionally prepared by Roma Kišūnaitė, cover the latter part of the magazine.
