The INTRODUCTION of the present issue of the magazine is written by Kęstutis Urba, who shortly comments the 33rd IBBY Congress in London and jestingly compares the event with the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. Two publications in the ARTICLES section are based on diploma works of university students. Eglė Baliutavičiūtė (Vilnius university) analyses Artistic Worldview of Literary tales by Gintarė Adomaitytė, while Gerda Aleksiūnaitė (Vytautas Magnus university) seeks links between essays for adults and fiction for children by Gendrutis Morkūnas. Literary scholar from Moldova Ana Bantoš donated her publication about Spiridon Vangheli to commemorate the famous author’s 80th anniversary. The caption BOOKS OF MY CHILDHOOD is prepared by Džiuljeta Maskuliūnienė, who interviewed Šiauliai university teacher, linguist Janina Barauskaitė. In the REVIEWS one can read about two translated books, i. e. Gintarė Adomaitytė presents Kabalmysteriet (The Solitaire Mystery) by Jostein Gaarder, and Asta Gustaitienė discusses The Magician’s Elephant by Kate DiCamillo. The biggest publication (BIBLIOGRAPHY section) prepared by Roma Kišūnaitė recites anniversaries to be noticed by children’s literature experts, teachers and librarians.
