SUMMARY
The Lithuanian section of IBBY awarded the novel Disconnect by Rebeka Una as the best book for young readers of the year. Acceptance speech by the author opens the present issue of „Rubinaitis”. The book later is discussed by Gintarė Motiekaitienė, Aleksandra Strelcova-Kelpšė and Violeta Juodelienė in the caption CONVERSATION. Professor Gražina Skabeikytė-Kazlauskienė in her article discusses aspects of toleration of disable child in One Day of Princess Victoria by Petter Lidbeck and Lisen Adbåge, Wonder by R. J. Palacio and The Terrible Thing That Happened To Barnaby Brocket by John Boyne. SURVIES caption consists of two publications. Eglė Baliutavičiūtė writes about some important translations for children published in 2015 and Jolita Liškevičienė discusses new illustrations. The quest of the section READINGS OF MY CHILDHOOD is radio journalist Alma Valantinienė, who answers to Gintarė’s Adomaitytė’s questions. The Beatrix Potter Society helped the Lithuanian IBBY section to commemorate Beatrix Potter’s the 150th anniversary: article by Selwyn Goodacre was republished from „Beatrix Potter Studies VI”. BIBLIOGRAFY and CHRONICLES prepared by Roma Kišūnaitė present criticism and various information about children’s literature.
