SUMMARY
The essay by Giedrė Kazlauskaitė „In Bookshop“ replaces traditional Introductory of the magazine. Giedrė worked in Bookshop for some time and now remembers what children and parent looked for and what asked about books. Two articles are dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the Russian romantic Antonij Pogorelsky. Kęstutis Urba presents his biography and carefully analyses his famous work „The Little Black Hen“. Primary school teacher Kazytė Startienė tells how she organized readings of the work with her fourth grade pupils. Sigitas Poškus, who is author of books for children, celebrates his 50th jubilee, on this occasion he was asked to answer to Rymantas Černiauskas‘ questions and to tell about himself in the caption BOOKS OF MY CHILDHOOD. Secondary school teacher Aldona Kruševičiūtė is involved into DISCUSSION „Do they read or don‘t read?“ Five books are reviewed in the section AT THE CLOSER LOOK: „The wee free men“ by Terry Pratchett, „Märklin och Turbin“ by Ulf Stark, two books about Mamma Mu by Jujja Wieslander and „Midnight“ by Jacqueline Wilson. Roma Kišūnaitė presents next year literary jubilees in the BIBLIOGRAPHY section.
