SUMMARY
Kęstutis Urba in the Introductory regrets, that some teathers of the literature donʼt pay any attention to the pupils who are very enthusiastic readers of fiction at school and provides some examples of such indifference. The devision of Articles contains two publications. Genovaitė Raguotienė analyses what and how children read during the Ban of the Lithuanian language and books (1864-1904), and Silvija Knezekytė presents her MA thesis, in which she invastigated the pecularities of illustrations of nonsense literature.
Illustrator, art critic Irena Geniušienė answering to Alma Valantinienėʼs questions remembers her childhood and books and tells what she likes and diesnʼt like in the field of illustrations of childrenʼsiterature. (The caption Books of my Childhood.)
The young scholar Loreta Jakonytė dedicated her article to the 130th anniversary of L. M. Montgomery, and carefuly analysed motive of creativity, of writing in the works by the author. The 6st grade student Elzė as if proceeds the commemoration of the anniversary and writes letter to the translator of books by Montgomery. The Letters section also contains letter from Urtė, the 9th grade student, where she disccuses pleasure of reading.
Five books are reviewed in Reviews section: “Thereʼs a boy in the girlʼs bathroom” by Louis Sachar, “Abomination” by Robert Swindells, “The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime” by Mark Haddon, “The devil and his boy” by Anthony Horowitz and “Mortal engines” by Philip Reeve.
The bibliographer Roma Kišūnaitė summaryses all publications in “Rubinaitis”, numbers 21–32, and also describes all last events in Lithuania, concerned with childrenʼs literature.
