SUMMARY
“Twenty Years of Community” is title of INTRODUCTORY and it pays attention to the 20th anniversary of the Lithuanian section of IBBY. “The Prince and the Pauper” by Mark Twain is analyzed in the first article of ARTICLES section. Kęstutis Urba states this is different book among two other classics by Twain for children, since it is syncretic work. Formal features of historical novel, of social realism, psychologism and tale are carefully discussed. Guoda Rudnickaitė studied life and activity of Brothers Grimm and presents it to the Lithuanian readers. READINGS OF MY CHILDHOOD is prepared by Asta Skujytė, who interviewed famous poet Vladas Braziūnas. 100th anniversary of “Kewade” by the Estonian author Oskar Luts is commemorated by two experts Aili Kalavus and Mare Müürsepp from Estonia. While young Lithuanian scholar Inga Mitunevičiūtė dedicates her paper to the 120th birth anniversary of the Russian children’s author Korney Chukovsky. Just published books by Vilė Vėl, Beatrice Masini, Alessandro D’Avenia and Marko Leino are reviewed in the section AT A CLOSER LOOK. LETTERS and CHRONICLES are the very traditional captions of the magazine.
