SUMMARY
The gymnasium teacher Marius Mikalajūnas organized discussion with his pupils about the JUNK by Melvin Burgess and prepared the first publication for the Articles section. The analysis of TUCK EVERLASTING by Natalie Babbitt is the next publication of the section, written by Loreta Jakonytė. The famous poet MARTYNAS VAINILAITIS will celebrate his 70th anniversary soon, and his colleague Ramutė Skučaitė as well as Kęstutis Urba dedicate their publications for the forthcoming jubilee. Russian scholar Sergej Boiko tells about WILHELM HAUFF’S life and works, and Gražina Skabeikytė-Kazlauskienė analyses the “MARCHEN-ALMANACH… auf 1928” by Hauff from the literary and folkloristic point of view.
The poet Onė Baliukonė tells about his childhood and about the meaning of books in child’s life (The caption Books of my Cildhood). Five new books are reviewed in the last section: THE FLYING SIGNS by Gintarė Adomaitytė, THE ORANGE DUMMY by Jonas Liniauskas, SKELIG by David Almond, FAIRY TALES by Marie Catherine d’Aulnoy and THE STARS OF EGRI by Gardonyi.
